We use Pad Printing Machine for a process known as pad printing. It is an indirect offset (gravure) printing process, also known as tomography or tampo printing. In this process, a silicon pad transfers a 2-D image from a cliché that is a printing plate.

This plate that we laser engraved or etched to a 3-D object. With the use of pad printing, it is now easy to print various kinds of items with complex shapes that were previously unattainable. It consists of shapes like curved, hollow, cylindrical, spherical, compound angles, textures, etc.

Process Of Printing:

Step 1: To cover the image and fill it with ink. Then we position the closed (sealed) ink cup over the pad printing plate’s engraved (etched) artwork region.

Step 2: Then, we expose the ink-filled engraved image when the closed ink cup slides away from the engraved artwork area, removing all extra ink. The ink grips to the transfer pad to print the item because the top layer of ink turns sticky as soon as it is in contact with air.

Step 3: The transfer pad briefly presses against the printing plate. The ink lifts (transfers) from the engraved artwork area onto the pad as the pad is crushed, pushing air outward in the process.

Step 4: The sticky ink film inside the engraved artwork area is picked up on the transfer pad as it is lifted away. The pad printing plate still has some ink in it.

Step 5: The ink cup moves to cover the engraved artwork area on the printing plate as the transfer pad advances. In preparation for the following cycle, the ink cup once more pours ink onto the plate’s engraved artwork image.

Step 6: The ink layer picked up from the printing plate is transferred to the product surface by the transfer pad pressing down onto the item. One print cycle is complete when it lifts from the substrate and moves back to its starting place.

Applications Of Pad Printing

In various industries, we use pad printing to print on challenging products. Printing International concentrates particularly on particular product categories, such as:

  •         The Printing of coated tablets and gel capsules in the pharmaceutical industry.
  •         The printing industry for the medical sector for Printing syringes, inhalers, insulin pens, catheters, etc.
  •         The confectionery sector prints chewing gum and coated candies.
  •         Sports equipment.
  •         The cosmetics sector for lipstick holders, perfume bottles, etc.
  •         Beverage packaging for corks and bottle tops, among other surfaces.

What Is Screen Printing?

For the screen-printing process, we cover a woven mesh with an ink-blocking stencil before we apply it to the screen printing. After that, the stencil creates a space through which we can use ink or other materials.

In ancient China, they used this method first between 960 and 1279 AD. The machinery used in screen printing today is very advanced and largely automated. It is best for quickly and effectively printing larger designs rather than ones with fine details.

Pad Printing Vs. Screen Printing

It’s crucial to take your application into account while deciding between pad printing and screen printing. It is advisable to examine your product and think about the outcomes you want to attain before deciding which printing technique to use. Pad printing is going to be your most fabulous alternative if your product is compact and has fine details.

Pad printing is a fantastic option for Printing on odd shapes. The same holds true if you are printing on a surface that is 3D or uneven. However, screen printing will make much more sense if your item’s surface area is quite huge and you need a massive print.

Benefits Of Bottle Printing

Printing on the bottle makes it more attractive and desirable. Even if it is of plastic or glass, the market will desire more if it has excellent packaging. The market will demand a product more and more depending on how creatively it looks to the consumer.

Using a bottle with no label or great packaging doesn’t affect the user, but when they find a bottle with an eye-catching logo or attractive colors.
